What is Skin, Hair and Nails?
Our formula has been developed to nourish and protect your skin, hair and nails from within. Vitamin E, C, zinc and selenium provide antioxidant nutrients which protect the skin from harmful oxidative stress as a result of sun exposure.
Beautiful skin on the outside requires a healthy foundation within and much of this internal structure is dependent on collagen, which is the most abundant protein found in the body. These collagen fibres also provide further structure and firmness in combination with another skin protein called elastin which helps to maintain skins’ elasticity.
Recent changes to Skin, Hair & Nails
We've recently made a number of improvements to our Skin, Hair & Nails formulation.
Here Dr Max Gowland explains why we have made these changes.
This change is a superior product as it allows us to now include a newer, more advanced, clinically supported ingredient, namely Ceramosides®.
We’ve replaced the older oil-based softgel format with this newer ceramide-based technology, which has shown significant benefits for skin and hair health in high quality published scientific studies. These studies showed measurable improvements in skin hydration, elasticity, visible reduction in wrinkles, as well as stronger, healthier hair. Ceramosides work from within by helping to restore the skin’s natural protective barrier and moisture levels; key elements of youthful, healthy-looking skin.
The change in colour is due to the removal of an ingredient called titanium dioxide, which was previously used to give the tablets a bright coating. It is important to note that this change has no impact whatsoever on the effectiveness, quality, or safety of the product.
Although titanium dioxide is still permitted in the UK, there has been growing discussion within the EU around its use in food supplements. In response to these concerns - and as part of our ongoing commitment to reviewing and improving our formulations - we made a proactive decision to remove it from all our tablets.
